Our Door is Open

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

(Qur’ān 39:18). ‘Al-Ladhina Yastami’oona l-Qawla Fa-Yattabi’oona ‘Ah’sanah’, ‘Who listen to speech and follow the best of it.’ Sadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says about who listens to what he is hearing from good advice and follows the best thing. This is for the Mu’min to follow the good thing. All the time during Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam’s time, from the beginning in Makkah, he ﷺ introduced the good words of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla from the Qu’ran and his ﷺ Hadith to these people.

The first thing he ﷺ did, he ﷺ called the nearest people to him ﷺ. His ﷺ tribe, ‘Aa’rab. And the tribe also, the closest to themselves like uncles, aunties, their daughters, their sons, relatives; all of them, Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam called them. “I will say to you something important”, he ﷺ said. Because Allah ﷻ ordered to begin first from the nearest ones. All of them were coming, gathering together. No one from outside his ﷺ family or relatives. Only ‘ ’, ‘AlAqrabeen’, ‘Of near kindred.’ (Qur’ān 26:214). First begin from the nearest ones for you, Allah ﷻ ordered him ﷺ.

When all were there, “What is this important thing?” they asked Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said for them, “How do you know me? From what I say, have you heard any wrong word from me?” All of them together said, “No. You are the most truthful, most honest one between us.” He ﷺ said, “So I will tell you a very important thing.” He ﷺ told them about Islam and Ayat from the Qur’an, and all of them were very happy. Nearly all of them were to become Muslim.

But in that time, Abu Lahab - he is his ﷺ uncle, but he’s not important. He stood up and shouted, “This is not from our customs. He is destroying our religion. He is doing this, doing that. We cannot believe in this.” He said so and finished this gathering. Some of them became Muslim. But others were nearly coming to Islam, but when this man did this, they didn’t accept [Islam]. For this, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla later made many things for Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. And even Allah ﷻ cursed Abu Lahab in the Qur’an and made a special Ayah for him.

So it’s an important thing here to know people. Who is following Allah ﷻ and Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, is acceptable in the Divine Presence of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. [As for] others: don’t think about what they are doing. If they are with the way of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, it’s okay. If not, we are not saying anything for them. Because some people say, “He is from a good family, from a good line.” We must also be careful not to say any bad thing about people. But also, don’t say that is.. – This [matter] is for Allah ﷻ. He ﷻ knows what he will be. Because you don’t know; maybe Allah ﷻ gives him Hidayah (guidance), Allah ﷻ sends him to be a good man or good woman. This is from Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. He ﷻ is, “Capable of everything.”

Sufi people, Tariqah people must know this first. To not say to anybody a bad thing. Of course, if he is bad, if he is harming people, you must say, “This is not the way of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.” Who claims that he is on the way of Prophet ﷺ and says something harming people: we don’t accept this, but Allah ﷻ judges him.

Our way, our door is open for everyone. Who comes, we cannot refuse him. Many sometimes were complaining about Mawlana that he is looking after these people, looking after those people. AlhamduliLlah, it is the same Dergah; not changing. It is also the same door, open for everybody coming. If the coming is Muslim or non-Muslim, Munafik (hypocrite) or Ghayr Munafik (not hypocrite), Sufi, Salafi, Wahhabi. We are open for all of them. Sometimes there comes also people who maybe don’t love them. They maybe think that they are not wearing good or they have another way. But for all of them, our door is open. We cannot say [otherwise]. They can come, listen and if Allah ﷻ gives them Hidayah, they can follow. This is very important. They can follow. If they don’t like, the door is open: they can come, they can go. Not closed; our door is open.

But there is a point here. Maybe some people see these people which maybe something is not right with them and say, “Look. Sheikh is with this man. He came and he met him, and he accepted him.” Of course we must meet him and accept. But the important point here is he is coming to ask something, but we are not following him! If he is doing wrong, we say a Naseeha (advice) for him. If he doesn’t accept, go. And he maybe accepts; it is not important. But for us, these people who don’t have wisdom must know: we are not following him!

AlhamduliLlah our way is way of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, way of Sahabah, way of Ahlu l-Bayt. Not the way of these people. We tell these people what the truth is, what is important, what is important for them. If they accept the Naseeha, okay. If they don’t accept, also okay. We are living in a time, you cannot oblige or make people accept by force. But we do not follow anybody except our Mashayikh, Ahlu s-Sunnah wal Jama’ah, the four Imams: Abu Hanifah, Imam Shafi’i, Imam Maliki, Imam Hanbali and [Imams of Aqidah]: Imam Maturidi, Imam Ashʿarī. This is belief of Ahlu s-Sunnah wal Jama’ah.

For this, who don’t have wisdom can say anything. But to our people, maybe these people sometimes make Waswas in their hearts. For this, we are saying this for our people also. Because many times, they cannot tell this to us so they tell to Murids to make them run away from Tariqah and from Shari’ah.

We are not afraid from anyone, because we are with Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Others are with shaytan. Those who are making people have Waswas and who make people enemies to each other are with shaytan. ‘ ’, ‘Innamā Yurīdu sh-Shayţānu ‘An Yūqi’a Baynakumu l-Adāwata Wa Al-Baghđā’a’, ‘Shaytan only wants to cause between you enmity and hatred.’ (Qur’ān 05:91). The shaytan’s job – Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla explained in Qur’an many times - to make people enemies to each other and to make hatred between you and between Muslims. This is his job. He is very hardworking. He doesn’t sleep, neither night nor day. We sleep but he doesn’t sleep. Every minute, he is trying to destroy our belief, to destroy human beings. Because he is envious from Adam ‘alayhi ssalam, and we are sons of Adam ‘alayhi s-salam. He said, “All of them, I want to take them to hell with me.” But when people are in Akhirah, he will say, “I am afraid of Allah, you are not afraid.” At that time, there will be not any chance for human beings.

For this, Allah ﷻ sent His ﷻ Prophets, He ﷻ sent His ﷻ Awliyau’Llah, Mashayikh, Sahabah and Ahlu l-Bayt. All to make people in the way of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. This is what all Prophets salla Llāhu ‘alayhim wa-sallam are teaching people and they are showing the way to people.

There are many stories from Prophets, especially Sayyidina ‘Isa ‘alayhi ssalam. They found one woman who was doing Haram, doing Zina (fornication). They said - in the law of Musa ‘alayhi s-salam [the punishment] is Rajm (stoning), to throw with stone until death. She repented, I think. So they prepared to throw stones to kill her. Sayyidina ‘Isa ‘alayhi s-salam was there. They said, “We must throw these at this woman.” Because he is merciful and she repented, he said, “Who has no sin can throw stones at this woman.” Nobody can throw. Except ‘Isa ‘alayhi s-salam, but he didn’t throw. Because everybody has sin, has something that’s not right. For this, because he is Prophet, they cannot throw at these woman. And she repented and became a good woman, a good lady after this.

There are many stories about the mercy of the Prophets of Allah ﷻ. All Prophets were going through people, through all countries. From up to down, people were following them. And envious people weren’t happy with them. They were every time saying something about them to make people run away from them. But it was the opposite. Thousands of people were following them every day. Wherever they were going, they were following them. Because they are Uli l-‘Azm Prophets, big Prophets. And they were making miracles for people.

Of course, when hearing about what they were doing, you say maybe they were healing one or two people, giving them Shifa, curing them. No. In the time of Sayyidina ‘Isa ‘alayhi s-salam, when he would wake up and go outside, maybe five hundred or a thousand people were waiting. He makes Dua for them, and all of them get cured. After that, he goes on with what he would do.

Also when the companions of Sayyidina ‘Isa asked him for dinner [table]. They made a drawing of it, in the Vatican I think. One table with food. Maybe on this table [in the drawing] there’s only ten or twelve people eating. It wasn’t like this. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla sent food to eat. Every day, seven thousand people were eating from it. Yes. Not like this artist who thought that it’s only ten or twelve people. Seven thousand people every day were eating from this food.

Even with this, poor Sayyidina ‘Isa ‘alayhi s-salam, all these miracles - before that also miracles and after that miracles - they were saying to him and asking him, “Can your Lord give us a table with food, so we be more believers?” And these were the most, nearest ones to him; twelve or ten disciples. All these Mu’jizah, all these miracles and they were still saying, “If your Lord..” What Sayyidina ‘Isa ‘alayhi s-salam said is, “La Hawla wala Quwwata illa bi-Llah! What is this! This is what Allah ﷻ gave us so I am okay with these people.” Everything, what they ate, what

they drank, what they did, they must know that this is all from Allah ﷻ. And Allah ﷻ gave you all this world and is giving, and you ask if He ﷻ can do this!

If we say this, there must be suspicion in our Iman. If you say this: if Allah ﷻ can do this. In Islam, we cannot say such a thing. Sayyidina Abu Bakr, when they told him, “Your friend.” – Yes, they weren’t respecting Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam – “He became very much [..]. What do you say about this?” He ﷺ said that he ﷺ went to heaven, going to Jannah, hell, Jerusalem, everywhere in one night. We don’t accept this completely. What do you say about this?” He said, “He ﷺ said this?” He was asking if he ﷺ said this. They said, “Yes.” He said, “If he ﷺ said, then this is true.” This is the difference between the nation of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam and the nations before Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. For this, they were killing their Prophets or kicking them, throwing them out or beating them. But many of them, they killed them. Because they don’t have Iman.

So who doesn’t have respect for Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam and doesn’t believe him from those who claim they are Muslim, they will be like these people. They were very strongly worshipping and doing everything, but they don’t have Iman, they don’t have belief. Their belief was very weak.

They said this and after that they were making what they made. And Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla took Sayyidina ‘Isa from them to heaven. And these crazy people say they killed him. Christian people know. Before this that happened, they were real Christians. They know that Sayyidina ‘Isa is a Prophet. But after that, shaytan took them out of the way and they had little belief. And they don’t have anything after this. No spirituality, no belief for them. But insha’Allah ‘Isa ‘alayhi s-salam is coming to make all of them accept him and accept Islam insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ make us reach this time with Sayyidina Al-Mahdi and Sayyidina ‘Isa ‘alayhi s-salam. Amin.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
