Not Only When Afflicted

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Madad Ya Rijala Llah.

Alhamdulillah after many years we meet again, thanks be to Allah Azza wa Jalla. By the wisdom of Allah ﷻ, it was a test for all human beings. But in some places they were suffering more, and in some places less. They said many things about this, but we know it is from Allah Azza wa Jalla. They said, “This country made this”, they said, “Another country made this.” Without the permission, without the will of Allah ﷻ nothing can happen. So alhamdulillah we meet again after 3 years or more.

Many people are suffering from many things. First, the whole world remembered that this is coming from Allah ﷻ. They tried a little bit to remember and ask for forgiveness from Allah ﷻ. After that, they quickly forgot and returned to what they were doing before, and they even did worse [deeds]. They forgot Allah ﷻ again and [started] making bad things again. This happens every time for human beings who follow their ego, follow their pleasures and forget Allah ﷻ; this happens for all these people.

This is what [happened] when Musa ‘alayhi s-salam came to Pharaoh warning him about something. He said, “Show me what will be.” So they showed miracles many times. And every time Pharaoh says, “Okay, okay we believe. Ask your Lord, your God to take this from us.” Every time Musa ‘alayhi s-salam prays and asks from Allah ﷻ to take this, these people repent and accept to be Mu’min, Muslim. Allah ﷻ takes this Bala’/affliction, then they were going back again [to their old doings] after a little while. Their water became like blood. After that, frogs were sent upon them, and then bugs were sent upon them; many things [were sent]. Every time they were saying “Okay”, and then not keeping their promise/word. After that, Allah ﷻ sends them another Bala’. They were every

time saying, “Okay, okay” and after when this [affliction] finishes they were going back to what they were doing before, not doing what they promised. They did this maybe ten times, or more or less I don’t know exactly. But in the end, Allah ﷻ ordered Sayyidina Musa, “Take your people/Ummah and go to Sinai. Go to the sea.” Of course they were the last – After this, Allah ﷻ opened the sea and Musa ‘alayhi s-salam passed peacefully. Pharaoh and his army were all finished, they sank in the water.

This is what happens to nonbelievers who don’t do what they promise/say. And this was also in this time, in our time. Most of the people now forgot corona, forgot the bad days and test. They are again going just after their pleasure and the bad things they are were doing, what Allah Azza wa Jalla doesn’t accept.

These people are nonbelievers. But the believers are also following them thinking that these people put the whole world under their control, saying, “This is good. This is not good.” For what they say good is bad, and for what they say bad is good. Believers must be awake, not sleeping. To follow what these people are saying is not acceptable because if they do this, they will also be punished. To cheat people with Islam also, it can be. Don’t think these are Muslim, and they cannot be punished or cannot be cheated.

Because when the Ummah of Musa ‘alayhi s-salam went to Sinai, another thing happened. There was the Ummah of Sayyidina Musa - who is from the Uli l-Azim prophets, from the [most] strongest seven prophets; he was one of them. And all these people left their place, their house, their everything following him to save their belief - this was their intention when they went after him. After that, when they passed [through] and were in safety, shaytan came to them also. They were also making trouble for themselves and for Sayyidina Musa ‘alayhi s-salam. Many things happened there. They asked Sayyidina Musa ‘alayhi s-salam many things. In the end, they asked from Musa ‘alayhi s-salam to make for them some statue to worship. This is a summary: one of them made for them a cow with gold and they were worshiping it. So these people were believers and after that they forgot what they were suffering, why they left their country, their houses, their everything, following Sayyidina Musa. They were following, but shaytan made people to forget. They forgot all of this and were, again, worshiping idol.

Allah ﷻ punished them and they repented. But when they repented – it wasn’t like our time: you say “AstaghfiruLlah” and Allah ﷻ forgives you. No; in their time, they must kill themselves. Allah ﷻ ordered those who were not worshiping idols to kill those who were worshiping idols. And they accepted this

for forgiveness. Without fighting, they were just coming in front of who doesn’t worship idols, and they were cutting their heads. They cut 70,000. Because they were worshiping idols, for Allah ﷻ to forgive them, they must kill themselves.

This is the Shari’ah of Sayyidina Musa. Allah ﷻ gave this Shari’ah for Sayyidina Musa. When people betrayed the Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam in Madinah, they caught them. The Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam asked them, “Which Shari’ah, which law do you accept to be treated by?” They said, “By the Shari’ah of Sayyidina Musa.” So they must kill them. Those who didn’t make Shahadah were killed by Sayyidina Ali; Sayyidina Ali killed most of them. Islam is the most just religion. So they cannot say, “Why is this from Islam?” They treated them according to their Shari’ah.

This is what happened in Sinai when they were doing this. After that, they said “Okay, enough.” For this, Musa ‘alayhi s-salam took his Ibil/camel and went to Mount Sinai to ask for forgiveness from Allah ﷻ. These people even asked to see Allah Azza wa Jalla with their eyes. So Allah Azza wa Jalla was not happy and the whole mountain went up and stopped over them to crash them all. Sayyidina Musa asked for forgiveness and Allah ﷻ did not crash them, but he must make them to die. So 70,000 people died there. Also Sayyidina Musa asked to make them alive again, and Allah ﷻ accepted. They went back to their people and they told what happened and how Allah ﷻ forgave them.

They were like this until Sayyidina Musa ‘alayhi s-salam said, “Okay, we must go to Palestine. Allah ﷻ orders us to go there.” They were not happy with this. They were afraid from these people. Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla said to them to go and say, “Hittah”, “Absolve us” (Qur’an 02:58) Allah ﷻ will open for you. You must only say this there. This word will finish these people. They said, “No, we are afraid. Go fight you and your Lord Allah Azza wa Jalla. And when you open it tell us, we can come and stay there.” Allah Azza wa Jalla was angry again at them. He ﷻ told Sayyidina Musa, “Tell these people that they lost.” “Get lost” as they say. He left them. They went and said, “Okay there is no wall, no iron, nothing preventing us to go from this desert. We will go. Don’t worry, you go by yourself.” They we’re going in the morning. They said, “Let’s go. We have to find some place. It’s not good here in the desert.” They left in the morning and were going around all day. They stopped, saying, “We went too much, tomorrow we will continue.” When they were waking up, they were finding themselves in the same place. Next day: again in the same place. Next week: again in the same place. Next month: again, going and coming in the same place. They cannot go out.

Sayyidina Musa ‘alayhi s-salam and his brother Harun ‘alayhi s-salam weren’t with them. They left them. These people were going around and around, and coming to the same place for 40 years. After 40 years, the last one died. After that, a new generation went to Palestine. No one from this generation was left, even Sayyidina Musa and Sayyidina Harun ‘alayhi s-salam passed away. The new generation was Sayyidina Yusha’ ‘alayhi s-salam. He took them to Palestine, and they won and settled there.

Human beings are like this. They quickly forget the right way and go to the wrong way, the wrong thing. Every time, everywhere – Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “There is the straight, right way and the other way. Follow the straight way: Tariq al-Mustaqim.” This began from the time of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Liar prophets were coming and people were going after them in the time of Sayyidina Abu Bakr, and until now it’s the same.

For this, Tariq means Tariqah which is connected to the Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. To save yourself and your belief, you must follow this Tariqah which is coming straight from Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Otherwise, as we said, people who were with the prophets were losing their way, what about people now? The biggest enemy for Islam are those claiming that they are Muslim but are not following Tariqah, not following Shari’ah but following those whom we don’t know who they are.

All Tariqat are alhamdulillah on Tariq al-Mustaqim. This is what’s in your country [Indonesia]: all are coming to Islam through Tariqah. Why? Because this is coming from and connected to the Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Alhamdulillah your country, Allah ﷻ give Barakah to you, they have love for Allah Azza wa Jalla and Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. They have big love for them, for Awliyau’Llah, for each other, for Muslims. They don’t know if a person is good or not good but when he says he’s Muslim, they are very happy. This is the biggest Ni’mah/favor, the biggest richness. When Allah ﷻ gives this for people, for a nation, they must be happy. Even if they are poor or something, it’s not important. When you are on the way of Allah ﷻ you are the [most] richest one. They are lucky people because the [most] richest ones we saw in some countries don’t have any belief. They even don’t want to live because they don’t have anything in their hearts, no love for Allah ﷻ; they don’t even love to live. Many people are in depression and bad conditions psychologically.

Alhamdulillah we reached here in the Month of Mawlid of the Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. This is good tidings for us also. The best thing is that we came in the Mawlid of the Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. We will celebrate insha’Allah. Allah ﷻ bless you. Allah ﷻ give you more and more love, for all of us insha’Allah. To make us neighbors to the Prophet ﷺ in Jannah insha’Allah.
