How to be Under Protection

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

Allāh ‘Azza wa Jalla says, ‘Fa-Llāhu khayrun ḥāfidhan wa huwa arḥamu r-rāḥimīn‘ ‘Allah is the best guardian, and He is the most merciful of the merciful.’ (Qur’ān 12:64). As long as Allah ﷻ protects you, there is no better protection for you. You can guard or protect yourself as much as you like, as long as Allah ﷻ doesn’t want it, nothing can work. Be together with Allah ﷻ in order to be under protection.

Nothing can be in safety in this world. Something may happen to someone, and if it happens two seconds earlier, a person can be saved. A man is put in danger with something, or there can be an accident. It is the order of Allah ﷻ. Whoever trusts in Allah ﷻ will be in profit. If you want to take precautions, you must rely on Allah ﷻ. Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla will protect you. Nothing else can protect you.

The protection of Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla is the best, He ﷻ says. He ﷻ is ‘Arhamu rRahimin, the most merciful of the merciful. How can you be under His ﷻ mercy and protection? Do what our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said: give Sadaqah every day. With Sadaqah, there is protection. Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla says that the Sadaqah averts accidents and affliction, and prolongs life. How does it happen? Allah ﷻ knows it. It is not your business. Your business is; if you want to protect yourself, give Sadaqah and rely on Allah ﷻ. “We are giving this Sadaqah; may Allah ﷻ protect us from accidents and affliction. May He ﷻ protect us from badness”, it should be given with such an intention. With the permission of Allah ﷻ, this will become a protection.

Even if you don’t feel it, you don’t realize how many things one can go through every day. Everything is under the command of Allah ﷻ. Some people know this. And while those who don’t know this say “If only I did it like this. If only I left, if only I didn’t come”, they think they can be saved with their own skills.

Certainly, Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla must be the One protecting. Shukr to Allah ﷻ, it is the best thing that our Holy Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam shows us the way. Believers and Muslims know this. They know very little. But they know that the protection is from Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla and make Shukr to Him ﷻ. Shukr to Allah ﷻ. May Allah ﷻ protect us insha’Allah.
