Duties of Yawmu ‘Arafah

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Today is the 8th of Dhu l-Hijjah, Yawmu t-Tarwiyah. Hajjis who are making Umrah, put their Ihram on today and head towards ‘Arafat slowly. The holy days of Dhu l-Hijjah are coming to an end. Tomorrow is Yawmu ‘Arafah insha’Allah. And before it, this day comes as a forerunner, as a favor. It is very much honored, too. All are so, but these last two days are very valuable and honored days. These days are acceptable days in the presence of Allah ﷻ. The worship performed during these days is more virtuous and brings more Thawab.

Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla has given honor and value even to days. Just imagine the honor of His ﷻ beloved people, firstly of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. And look at the tricks of shaytan. Some idiots call people who honor those who are beloved by Allah ﷻ Mushrik. Allah ﷻ must have created them with mind deficiency, as they are saying such things. They don’t know anything, and there are many foolish people who are cheated by them. Therefore, just like these days are honored, to honor people beloved by Allah ﷻ has a great virtue.

These days come once a year. We need to always love them. Therefore, we should know the value these holy days, perform worship and make everything we can such as Tasbih and Tahlil; as it is said in the Hadith of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. People should certainly not idle.

For Yawmu ‘Arafah, there is at least 1,000 times Surah Ikhlas, 1,000 times La ilaha illa Llah, 1,000 times Salawat. The more people can do, the more benefit they get. Also, many people forget about this: the Takbir starts tomorrow. After the Fard of Fajr prayer, Takbir should be done [after each prayer], up until the ‘Asr time of the last day [fourth day of Eid]. This is Wajib. There is no making up for it as Qada’. Therefore, people should pay attention to it. Many people forget about it.

May this Eid be good and blessed. May Allah ﷻ accept it for those who went to Hajj, and grant those who didn’t go to go insha’Allah.
