Refusing the Islamic Khalifah Led to Oppression

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Shaykh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Shaykh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Shukr to Allah ﷻ, our brothers have travelled to Jerusalem safely and came back. It is the grace of Allah ﷻ. By the Divine will of Allah ﷻ, the present time we are living in is the time of oppression, the time of Jababirah/Tyrants. Therefore, we have to make Shukr for everything we are able to do.

It has been a hundred years since the Ottoman Empire and the Islamic Khalifah was overthrown. And for a hundred years, there has been oppression. It is still going on in the same manner. Fifty five years ago, as a result of oppression, Jerusalem passed from one hand to another. All are the same, because those who don’t accept the Islamic Khalifah are oppressors. Therefore, Allah ﷻ is not giving anything to people without a reason. People are suffering because of their actions. As you don’t accept the Islamic Khalifah and you went against him, here is your punishment! Therefore, we should make Shukr for the things we are able to do; for the worship we perform, for the Ziyarah/visit we make, for everything we do everywhere.

Time is not in our hands, it’s in the Hand of Allah ’Azza wa Jalla. It must be like this for Qiyamah to come and for the signs of Qiyamah to occur. And it has been going on like this for a hundred years. If you look, a hundred years is not a lot of time according to Allah’s ﷻ estimations. Time will come, and with the permission of Allah ﷻ, the Islamic Khalifah will rule over the world. Therefore, there is no need to be upset. We are able to do something, Shukr for that. But our hearts are together with the Islamic Khalifah. He doesn’t oppress anyone, he doesn’t harm anyone and doesn’t take anyone’s rights.

The closer we get to the end of times, the worse the Kufr gets everywhere in the world. There is not a place in this world where oppression and Kufr are not increasing. And the biggest oppression is to go against Allah ﷻ. Even though Allah ﷻ gave everything, rebelling and going against Him ﷻ is the biggest oppression. Oppression will be over only when Mahdi ‘alayhi s-salam comes with the permission of Allah ﷻ. And that insha’Allah if we look at the signs, the world hasn’t seen so much oppression and so much Kufr since its creation.

In old times, when people did something, they would feel ashamed. They would feel ashamed for doing wrong. They would feel ashamed for committing a sin. But now, let alone feeling ashamed, they dare to punish those who don’t do it. They are punishing and saying, “You will be like us.” “I am not a pervert or anything.” “No, you will become a pervert. You will commit sins too.” This is oppression. Not only governments, but also people have become oppressors. As they are oppressors, Allah ﷻ sent an oppressor as a leader to them.

May Allah ﷻ protect us. People must distinguish between this. If we don’t have an oppressor as a leader, we have to make Shukr to Allah ﷻ for that. Because we are all oppressors, and we should have had an oppressor as a leader. But Shukr to Allah ﷻ, Allah ﷻ is showing grace. And for the honor of the good ones, good leaders are coming to us. May Allah ﷻ protect us from oppressors. May they not come. We deserve oppressors, but insha’Allah Allah ﷻ protects us.
