The Love of Our Prophet ﷺ Comes First

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidul Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya Rasulallah, Madad Ya Sadat As’habi RasuLillah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Dastur Mawlana Sheikh Abdullah Faiz Daghestani, Sheikh Nazim al-Haqqani. Madad. Tariqatunas sohba, wal khayru fil jamiyya.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

(Qur’ān 03:31). Allah Azza wa Jalla says, ‘Qul in kuntum tuhibbuna Llāha fāttabi‘ūnī yuhbibkumu Llāh’, ‘Say, [O Muhammad], “If you should love Allah, then follow me, [so] Allah will love you”.’ Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is telling about the attribute of our Holy Prophet ﷺ, “If you love Allah ﷻ, follow our Holy Prophet ﷺ. Allah ﷻ will love you then”. And our Holy Prophet ﷺ says, “Whoever performs my Sunnah loves me. And whoever loves me goes to paradise”. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying so. This is a great good tidings.

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ was sent to us as mercy. The mercy of Allah ﷻ is the best thing. Whoever attains the mercy of Allah ﷻ will reach happiness and paradise. His end will be good. What will save us is the love of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. And how is his ﷺ love shown? By following his ﷺ Sunnah. To follow his ﷺ Sunnah is to do everything our Holy Prophet ﷺ did. Our eating and drinking, going to bed and getting up, walking and asking for Rizq should be like he ﷺ did.

There are thousands of Sunnahs of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. Certainly, people cannot do all of them. But to do as much as you can, as much as you keep in your mind, will make you attain great Thawab. The reward of Shaheed will be given. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ said regarding our time that every Sunnah performed in this time is worth the reward of Shaheed. And the reward of a Shaheed is one of the greatest rewards, to reach the rank of Shaheed just from where you are.

There is no Sunnah that cannot be performed. People are a bit lazy to do them. But there are many easy ones as well. If you perform them by saying, “I am performing

www.hakkani.org the Sunnah of our Holy Prophet ﷺ, because I love our Holy Prophet ﷺ. I want to do like him”, you will certainly gain that reward.

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is the greatest favor given to us by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. For the honor of his face and manners, if you love him, you will enter paradise. It is the true word of our Holy Prophet ﷺ and the promise of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla to us. Whoever has love towards our Holy Prophet ﷺ, he will certainly enter paradise in the end. And whoever has no love and no respect to our Holy Prophet ﷺ, he can swallow the Qur’an and learn all the Hadith by heart, his end is doubtful.

The love of our Holy Prophet ﷺ comes first. It will save us with the permission of Allah ﷻ, because to perform the Sunnah is to carry out the orders of Allah ﷻ. It will save us. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ will love us and Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla will love us. This is our goal in life. Our life in this world is not only drinking, eating and going around. The main goal and purpose in life is to attain this. In order for Allah ﷻ to favor this love to us, this must be the main concern of Muslims. And it is not a difficult thing. It is not difficult to love Allah ﷻ and to love our Holy Prophet ﷺ. May everything we do, every work we carry out and our intentions be according to the Sunnah of our Holy Prophet ﷺ insha’Allah.
