Everything Coming is Near

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidul Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya Rasulallah, Madad Ya Sadat As’habi RasuLillah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Dastur Mawlana Sheikh Abdullah Faiz Daghestani, Sheikh Nazim al-Haqqani. Madad. Tariqatunas sohba, wal khayru fil jamiyya.

All hadiths of our Holy Prophet ﷺ are very important. Hadiths of our Holy Prophet ﷺ bring light to us. They teach about his life and how to live like him. They order goodness and forbid ugly and bad things to us. All hadiths are good. However, what attracted our attention in the hadith lesson yesterday is the last hadith we read - , “Everything coming is near.” If it is coming, then it is close. It is not far and it will happen quickly. It is the same with this life. People are heedless and say that there is still more time. They say, “After three years. After five years. There is a lot of time”. There is no time. If it is coming, it is near and not far at all. Therefore, do not miss your chance. Do not wait and say “I will do it later” by delaying. Do it immediately, for what is coming will come and go. And you will be left in astonishment.

What our Holy Prophet ﷺ says, the advice he gives is to not miss the opportunities, to not cheat ourselves by thinking that there is a lot of time and that we will manage to do things. What is coming is near. What is not coming is far, says our Holy Prophet ﷺ. If it’s not coming, then it’s far. What is not going to happen is far. What is going to happen is near. People should know and understand this. Otherwise, they will cheat themselves and miss many things. It is the same for the old and young. There is no difference. The future is near for everyone. Some people say, “I am still young”. Even if you live for a thousand years, it is still near.

Time is something created by Allah ﷻ. We have a short time for life in this world. No matter how long it may seem; thousands of years have passed before us since ‘Adam ‘alayhi s-salam until now. And millions of years have passed since the creation of the world. It has been thousands of years since Allah ﷻ put people in this world. You see, they are excavating and still finding things. There are people who lived thousands of years ago. None of them are alive now.

Insha’Allah these are the promised things. If it is meant for us, it is near. If it is not meant for us, then it is far from us. May Allah ﷻ give us the best. May He ﷻ let us be on the way of hadiths and our Holy Prophet ﷺ insha’Allah. May we understand them. And may we get from that beauty insha’Allah.
