The Last Wednesday of Safar

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidul Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya Rasulallah, Madad Ya Sadat As’habi RasuLillah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Dastur Mawlana Sheikh Abdullah Faiz Daghestani, Sheikh Nazim al-Haqqani. Madad. Tariqatunas sohba, wal khayru fil jamiyya.

Today is the last day of the blessed month Safar, Shukr to Allah ﷻ. We have spent it safely. The last day of it is usually a bit heavy. But Shukr to Allah ﷻ, Allah ﷻ gave a solution for everything. And that is Sadaqah which averts troubles, prevents accidents and extends life. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says so. When you give it, trust in Allah ﷻ and it will become means for goodness.

Everything has its wisdom. Some days and months have different states. This is the state of month of Safar. If we interpret it well, it will turn out well with the permission of Allah ﷻ. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ used to say “Safar ul-Khayr” about this month. He ﷺ used to call it “The good month of Safar”. And it will be good with the permission of Allah ﷻ. Awliya’ and ‘Ulamah warned about this day so that people are not caught unaware. Repent and ask forgiveness, make the daily Dhikr and give Sadaqah. If you’ve been saving Sadaqah especially for this month, it will protect you and be means to goodness with the permission of Allah ﷻ if you give it today.

Some things have to happen. Punishment has to come to oppressors and unbelievers here and hereafter. They will get more punishment in Akhirah. However, they won’t be at rest in this world as well. Oppressors and unbelievers never reach comfort. As long as Allah ﷻ doesn’t give comfort and beauty, they can struggle as much as they want; nothing will be as they like. Even if the whole world belongs to them, they will still be restless and unhappy. They are living in darkness. Shukr to Allah ﷻ, in spite of the difficult situation, as long as people have ‘iman in their hearts, even if little, it is enough.

Shukr to Allah ﷻ, after this month - tomorrow is the 1st of Rabi’ al-Awwal. The month when our Holy Prophet ﷺ was born into this world starts tomorrow insha’Allah. It is good tidings. It is a beautiful month for people, Muslims and those who love him ﷺ. Rabi’ al-Awwal – its name is also beautiful. It is the month of spring. Rabi’ means spring. Even if it is in the middle of winter or autumn, Rabi’ al-Awwal is the sign of beauty, the sign of purity; it is the beginning of everything. Everything is beautiful in it. And for the honor of his ﷺ face, all kinds of goodness will come. Insha’Allah we will have from its goodness and blessings, insha’Allahu r-Rahman. May Rabi’ al-Awwal be Mubarak on all of us insha’Allah.
