Imitate the Good Ones

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidul Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya Rasulallah, Madad Ya Sadat As’habi RasuLillah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Dastur Mawlana Sheikh Abdullah Faiz Daghestani, Sheikh Nazim al-Haqqani. Madad. Tariqatunas sohba, wal khayru fil jamiyya.

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says:

“He who imitates any people is one of them.” Whoever wants to be like people from a tribe, he is one of them. Therefore, wish to be like good ones. Try to be like good ones, like friends of Allah ﷻ so that you reach salvation and are in profit. Otherwise, when you want to be like bad ones, you are one of them too. You will not have a good ending.

You can imitate the clothing as well. But rather than clothing, it is more important to be similar from the inside, because people can be cheated by clothing. You put a Jubbah and turban on so that people believe you and do whatever you want then. It is not imitating. It is direct hypocrisy. If you want to be similar, you have to imitate the character first; you have to take from their good manners. This is imitating which is important. Otherwise, they will assume you are Awliya but you have shaytan inside you. You will be similar to shaytan, similar to hypocrites. It is important that your manners are like the manners of our Holy Prophet ﷺ, like the manners of Sahabah and Mashayikh. You should be the same from inside and outside. Inside is more important. A person’s inside is more important than the outside.

To be similar to their beautiful manners and beautiful character is a benefit for us. If you can’t imitate them in everything, make effort and try. Even if little, people can restrain themselves from lying and cheating. Otherwise, you will be similar to the rest of useless people. When you are similar to useless people, your punishment will be even bigger than theirs, because you don’t qualify to wear those clothes and you are causing suffering to people, causing harm to people. You are putting Muslims under suspicion. This is a very important thing. People should train themselves. This is Tariqah, this is Islam - to save people from their bad manners and to make them similar to good ones insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ not leave us to our egos. May we be the same from inside and outside insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ protect us. As many people are suffering from it, they look at everyone with suspicion. May Allah ﷻ protect us. What can we do? May Allah ﷻ give guidance to people so that they are on the right way insha’Allah.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

There are completed Qur’an Khatms, Salawat and Tasbihat, charity and good deeds. May Allah ﷻ accept all of them. We dedicate them first of all to the soul of our Holy Prophet ﷺ, to souls of all Prophets, Awliya, Mashayikh, ‘Alims and ‘Ulama and all believers. May all their good goals be achieved. May they be happy here and hereafter. May their ‘iman be strong. May they be means to goodness. For the souls of all our ancestors.
