The Last Day of the Hijri Year

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidul Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya Rasulallah, Madad Ya Sadat As’habi RasuLillah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Dastur Mawlana Sheikh Abdullah Faiz Daghestani, Sheikh Nazim al-Haqqani. Madad. Tariqatunas sohba, wal khayru fil jamiyya.

Shukr to Allah ﷻ, we completed our Ziyarah and came back safely. Many Shukr to Allah ﷻ. It is the last day of this year. Which year? It is the last day of the Hijri year. Shukr to Allah ﷻ. May He make us from those who know these months, because many people are unaware of what is going on around them but they speak with authority. They know everything except the necessary things. They are not interested in them.

This year – the Hijri year is a holy year. It started from the Hijrah of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. And the year when he made Hijrah became the first year of the calendar that Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla made for our Holy Prophet ﷺ. He assigned all the worship and duties according to it. Therefore, this year will be blessed insha’Allah. Last year... Shukr to Allah ﷻ. We should always make Shukr. There is no point in saying this year is good, last year was bad. What is bad is not to be with Allah ﷻ. We are living in dunyā, not in paradise. Dunyā is the place of tests. Certainly, people will be tested. What is the test? The test is not to forget Allah ﷻ. If you forget Allah ﷻ, you fail the test.

So we have been absent for two months. And yesterday we looked at the news to see what’s going on. You get surprised at how people find a blame for everything. Blameful is the one who forgets Allah ﷻ. Otherwise, it is easy to accuse this and that. Mankind swears at everyone but himself. When it comes to himself, the biggest fault is his. Nevertheless, he shows himself as the best whereas he has done all kinds of wrong and bad things. He doesn’t see this and finds others’ faults. It is the work of shaytan in order to make people fight with each other.

It is important, as we said, that a person is really good himself, and not as he thinks. When he is good, all these years and days will be good for him. If he is not good, the next or the past year brings no benefit to him. May Allah ﷻ let us spend next year by loving Allah ﷻ and by believing in Allah ﷻ. May He give guidance to people because people have gone wild and fallen in bad conditions. May Allah ﷻ improve them. May the new year be good insha’Allah.
