We’ve successfully raised £5,000, allowing us to begin installing AC units in the Men’s and Women’s Prayer Rooms (Phase 1). To complete Phase 2, we need an additional £5,000 for the foyer area. Phase 3 will require the remaining £5,000 to install heating in the canteen and women’s entrance.
Breakdown of Costs:
Foyer Area:
- 1 x 10kW ceiling-mounted AC unit = £3,700
Women’s Area:
- 1 x 5kW ceiling-mounted AC unit = £2,700
Women’s Entrance Area:
- 1 x 2.5kW wall-mounted AC unit = £1,300
Main Prayer Room (Men’s):
- 2 x 7kW AC units = £6,400 (£3,200 each)
Kitchen Canteen:
- 2 x 2.5kW wall-mounted units = £2,800 (£1,400 each)

We are blessed to have Mercy Oceans Dergah (MOD), a sanctuary of faith and community in the heart of Bradford. Guided by Mawlana Sheikh Mehmet Adil, our dergah is more than a place of worship—it’s a hub for spiritual growth, mental well-being, and youth empowerment.
At MOD, we:
- Gather for Zikr and Sohbet every Thursday and Sunday, strengthening our connection with Allah (SWT) and each other.
- Offer educational programs, mentorship, and skill-building workshops to inspire and guide our youth.
- Provide mental health support and foster a sense of belonging in an inclusive, safe environment.
Our mission is to empower the next generation, instilling the values of faith, kindness, and strong moral character, as taught by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Our Current Need
With winter upon us, our dergah faces a pressing challenge: we have no heating. This makes it difficult to maintain a comfortable environment for worship, learning, and gatherings.
After thorough research, we’ve identified an effective solution: installing electric heaters throughout the building. This project will cost £15,000 to complete.
